Reminder 1:

The service times are changing this week! Yes, this week! So if you normally go to the 11:30 service in OverDrive or Unplugged, you better set your alarms earlier this week, because if you show up to either service at 11:30, you will be sorely disappointed. Hopefully you’ve seen the announcements in church the past couple weeks, but in case you haven’t, here they are again:

• OverDrive will now have only one service @ 10 am in OverDrive (High School Ministry will be meeting in OverDrive at 11:30am)
• Unplugged will continue to have two services, but the services will be at 8:30am and 10am (The Singles Ministry will be meeting in Unplugged at 11:30am)
• Live will not change its times, so no need to remember anything if you go to Live

Reminder 2:

IGNITE begins this week on Sunday. I know that in OverDrive there will be special music for each of the 3 weeks of IGNITE and the sermon series will be great as well. We know that one of Mike’s favorite things to talk about in a sermon is sex, so this week should be a great talk to hear. So make sure to invite some people to “come and see” what Jesus is all about.

Reminder 3:

In case you haven’t noticed, it’s hot right now. Like really hot — stick to a leather couch, take cold showers, sweat while sleeping kind of hot. So make sure you drink lots of water, Gatorade, or whatever you’ve got to hydrate yourself. I actually stuck an ice pack under my pillow last night so that when I flipped the pillow over, it was cold (of course the cold wore off after a minute of flipping it over, but it felt good for that minute).

Some good news though is that I have it on good authority (Dallas Raines) that the rest of the week will get a lot cooler than it has been (like 85 degrees instead of 100). If you don’t believe it, check out the 7 day forecast.
