As Mike and Roger have been telling us for the last few weeks, we will have some guest speakers at Parkcrest while Roger is in Africa and Mike and Allison prepare for having another baby. This week’s speaker is Larry Acosta. Here’s a little bit of info and the ministry that Larry is part of.

Larry continued as part of the pastoral staff for over twelve years at Grace Church until becoming the founder and president of the Hispanic Ministry Center and KIDWORKS in Santa Ana, California. HMC provides youth ministry leadership training for emerging urban leaders and KIDWORKS is a community development ministry that reaches at risk children and youth in two barrio neighborhoods.

Larry is also the point person for the Urban Youth Workers Institute, and started this while completing his doctorate in Leadership Development at Fuller Seminary.

Parkcrest has always had a special connection with Larry and his ministry, so it should be fun to get to hear him speak at Parkcrest. Make sure you don’t miss it!
