Yay, exciting news for El Circulo!
E.C. had an article published about them in a local Dominican newspaper. So, for all of you who are literate in Spanish, here’s the link: http://listin.com.do/app/article.aspx?id=9910
Also, here’s the latest from the pastor of E.C., Fausto Liriano:
Just in case you’re unable to open the PDF file, here’s the text:
Hello again!!First off, I’d like to thank all of you for taking the time to read our letter and for your prayers. Sure thing, they’re being listened to, and that is obvious by the things happening among us and how we can see God’s hand working over our family as well as the ministry where He has placed us.I usually compare faith the extreme sports, in that both are risky, and if you are not up for that risk there really is no excitement, and neither do you end up seeing any results. This is a well-known fact by all extreme sportsmen, as well as any person walking by faith as a permanent lifestyle. Sometimes, when you aren’t willing to make certain decisions, God creates situations so that you may act, and BANG!…. time to act. These situations are inevitable, it’s just part of our normal learning process. And all that just to say this: Three weeks ago, the owners of the facilities we had been using for our Sunday night services sent us a letter, letting us know that we had only 2 more Sundays until time came to move out. All of a sudden, we were forced to act upon a decision that we probably may have been waiting too long to make. Our reaction? Well, we understood that God was moving us, so we went forward. All options we had fell apart, and with only a week left we found a Muslim Country Club (wierd, huh?) available for us.Our decision was to remain there only on Sunday nights during two months, and since then we’ve begin the search for a place that we can use all month, any day we wish. This has moved the guys and gals to a new level of commitment, and God has opened doors to more people getting involved in serving the congregation. It will take many hands to put together and break down each Sunday during these two months, but it will also be an opportunity for more people to get involved. In the meantime, we just won’t stop! We continue growing healthy, and every day we see how more people join the incredible community at El CÃrculoI believe that one of the greatest miracles is to see youth from different age ranges, different social and economic scales, and different urban tribes, all worshipping the Lord together, sharing among us, praying one for another…Wanna hear about miracles? There you have it!
Noelia and I are very well. She is getting acclimated more and more to the country, and is getting more involved with the ministry. What we haven’t yet attained is for her to speak like a Dominican (as Argentinians have a very distinct accent, very different from the rest of Hispanic America), so we’ll see how she adapts to the heat waves that are already sweeping through the country. God is raising us, and the best thing is that we can actually attest to it.
Thanks so much, and many, many blessings!!!Fausto and Noelia LirianoPrayer Requests:
Once again, thanks for your prayers and support! Here is a list of things to continue praying for:1- A new space for El CÃrculo. At the end of May we would like to have a definitive place to hold our services. Please also pray for the finances to actually be able to do this.
2- For El CÃrculo’s next phases in outreaches and missions. Later I will give you more details on the plans.
3- For El CÃrculo’s leadership.
4- We need to complete my family’s own support…we’re almost there, but please pray for that.
5- Never, ever, ever stop praying for Noelia and I, for our families and lives.
