You may not have this problem as much as I do, but having to say 18-20 Somethings is a mouthful. When I’m writing something on the website and I have to say “18-20 Somethings” over and over again, it gets a little tiring. Or when I’m trying to talk with someone about what 18-20 Somethings is, or what’s going on with it, or about the website — it just gets exhausting.
So I propose a nickname for 18-20 Somethings: Somethings. It’s short (that brings the total number of syllables down from 7 to 2) and I think it’s something we can all agree is a lot less of a mouthful to say. It’s something that all of us who are in the ministry would understand and it would save me a lot less keystrokes. You wouldn’t even have to take a drink in the middle of saying “18-20 Somethings”. It’s just Somethings.
All in favor, say “Somethings”.

I always liked the shift I made from calling this age group 18-20 Somebodies.
Because no person is ever a thing.

dare i say new name all together? For some reason when people i tell about the ministry hear 18-20 somethings– all they hear are 18 and 20. they feel its geared towards the younger folk and not older 20s or 30s. my vote: new name?
